We like the small town atmosphere of Washougal, yet we have everything we need, post office, library, medical/dental, Safeway/Rite-Aid Shopping Mall, health club and restaurants .
This is all within walking distance and public transportation. Most important consideration is the single level living of Bluestone Cottages, fenced yards, mature trees and beautiful landscaping. Most condominiums have 2 level living which does not always work well as you age.
Everything is ready for you to move in at Bluestone Cottages, just you and your furniture is all we needed.
Bob and I can enjoy our senior years and be independent, living at Bluestone Cottages. When our family visits we can enjoy a picnic in the community park at the center of the development.

I have been living at Bluestone Cottages since November 2008. I chose a unit near the park because I have a 12 year old son who loves to shoot baskets and sometimes toss a football with a friend. We both love our little home. It is brand new inside and out and I absolutely love the brand new appliances. I also love all the trees and privacy fences.
I also purchased our condo thinking of my now retired parents as there are no stairs and as they get older they could stay here comfortably. I really needed the help having the yard work done since I work full time and I'm always going to my sons baseball or football games through the year.
The train is never a problem. We barely hear it anymore and I sometimes work nights, sleeping in the day and it has never woke me up. I like my nice neighbors, we keep an eye out for each other as we share this peaceful complex and would like to see more nice neighbors move in and have the pride of ownership as I do.
